Welcome to Coxmoor Ladies Section website.
Coxmoor Ladies Section has, for many years, enjoyed the unique reputation of being one of the warmest and friendliest in the county, both for members and visitors alike.
This is an enviable position, one we are proud of and keen to uphold.
Currently we have 105 lady members, with a broad mix of handicaps and ages. Our main competition day is usually Tuesday, although now, there are no playing restrictions for ladies on any day of the week.
Throughout the year we run a full programme of competitions, including qualifying medals, trophy competitions and fun games. We also run, very popular, 9 hole qualifying competitions for those who wish to keep their handicap active but can’t manage the full 18 holes.
We have a committee of 12 Ladies, chaired by the Lady Captain, who take care of business running the ladies competitions, matches, and handicaps, social and general needs.
We are always pleased to encourage new members and at present we are actively recruiting ladies to join us, either experienced golfers or those who are new to the game.
Taster Sessions for ladies are being organised by one of our Pro shop team together with some of the ladies committee. Details of these can soon be found on the website or by contacting the club Secretary who will direct you to someone who will be happy to help.
My Vice Captain, Judy Wheatley, and I will be very pleased to hear from anyone who is interested in joining our ladies section.
Our ladies are also actively involved in the many social events we have scheduled for our Centenary year 2013, there promises to be something for everyone, so we are looking forward to a great year.
