Head Professional – Craig Wright
Craig was appointed Club Professional in March 2007, becoming only the fourth Head Professional in the Club’s history, succeeding David Ridley.
With over 31 years of experience as a PGA Professional, Craig has developed extensive knowledge across all areas of the game — from coaching and equipment expertise to business management and course maintenance. Well known throughout the county, his approachable nature and dedication have earned him great respect among both members and visitors. Craig is also widely regarded as one of the area’s leading club repair specialists and an exceptional coach.
As Head Professional, Craig offers tuition for golfers of all ages and abilities — from complete beginners to seasoned players — ensuring every lesson is tailored to individual goals. During his time at the Club, he has introduced a wide range of quality products at competitive prices and continues to provide honest advice, great value, and first-class service to anyone looking for new equipment or support with their game.
PGA Teaching Professional – Phil Edwards
Phil joined the professional team in 2016, bringing a wealth of playing and teaching experience with him. Phil also played as a junior at Coxmoor Golf Club, representing the Club, County and PGA at all levels. He went to work on the greenstaff team at Coxmoor so knows the course inside out.
He will be more than happy to accommodate your needs and offers a full performance coaching programme with indoor (on the GC2 Launch Monitor and video analysis), outdoor, group and playing lessons.

Ben joined the team in the summer of 2018, having represented Nottinghamshire before turning professional in 2016. Since then, he has become an integral member of the professional team, well regarded by members for his approachable style and high-quality coaching.
As lead coach of the successful Coxmoor junior team, Ben also delivers all members’ group coaching sessions. Passionate about helping golfers of all ages and abilities reach their full potential, he offers a comprehensive performance coaching programme featuring indoor sessions in the Foresight studio, outdoor lessons, group coaching, and on-course instruction.

Assistant to the Professional – Frey Patrick
In his role as a retail assistant, Frey brings a customer-first attitude and deep product knowledge to every interaction.
