Dress Code
In the interest of the Traditions of the Club, members and guests are politely reminded of the Dress Code

On The Course And Practice Areas
All golfers must wear recognised golf attire on the course, to only include the following
- Shirts / Blouses: must be collared and tucked into trousers / shorts / skirts at all times. Polo neck shirts / jumpers are acceptable. For ladies, mandarin style collars and golf shirts designed to be worn outside of shorts / trousers / skirts are acceptable.
- Hoodies: golf branded hoodies are permitted. Hoods must not be worn up anywhere within the club property including on the course and in the clubhouse.
- Shorts: must be tailored and smart with no ‘patch’ pockets on the sides. Shorts must not be below knee length.
- Trousers: must be full length and must not be of a denim material. Cargo or patch pockets are NOT acceptable. Ladies may wear three-quarter length trousers.
- Socks: must always be worn on the golf course. When wearing shorts, single coloured socks of any length are acceptable.
- Shoes: must be of a recognised conventional golf shoe design. The club operates a soft spike only policy.
- Gold Head Gear: must be worn in the correct manner. Caps with peaks must be worn with the peak forward.
In the Clubhouse and on Surrounding Balconies
The club have adopted a smart-casual dress code, however the following items of clothing are not acceptable:
- Distressed clothing (for example, any item of clothing with rips / tears / paint marks/ etc.
- Trousers / Shorts worn below the hip
- Sports team shirts, shorts, tracksuits, gym wear
- Rubber / plastic beach flip flops or sandals
- Beachwear and vests
- Combat clothing (including cargo shorts)
- Workwear and work boots, bare or stockinged feet
- Hats / headgear, unless for religious reasons
- Golf waterproofs
- Golf shoes of any description
The following exceptions apply to the Spike Bar and Downstairs Areas only
- Golf shoes
- Dry & clean waterproof outerwear (Any wet or dirty outerwear must be removed)
- Seasonally, the club may allow golf shoes in the upstairs lounge (please check with management before proceeding)
To avoid embarrassment on all sides the Professional Staff, Secretary, House Staff and Committee Members will administer the rules. The club reserves the right to refuse admission to the Course or Clubhouse if individuals are not able to comply with our dress code, normal courtesies or the rules of golf.
